Here’s how we recommend caring for your set.
Caring for Your Mahjong Tiles
Clean Gently
For everyday cleaning, wipe your tiles with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
If deeper cleaning is needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water and gently wipe each tile. Dry immediately with a clean cloth.
Avoid soaking the tiles or using harsh household cleaners.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Do not use alcohol, bleach, acetone, abrasive cleaners, or strong chemical solvents unless specifically recommended for your particular product.
These products may damage printed details, surface finishes, or acrylic materials.
Keep Away from Excessive Heat
Do not leave your Mahjong set for extended periods in:
- direct sunlight
- hot vehicles
- near heaters or fireplaces
- areas with extreme temperature changes
Prolonged heat and sunlight may affect the appearance of certain materials over time.
Caring for Racks & Accessories
Wipe racks and pushers with a soft cloth after use.
For wood or specialty-finish accessories, avoid soaking them in water. Store them dry and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight.
Protecting the Tile Finish
Mahjong tiles are designed to be handled and played with, and minor signs of use can naturally develop over time.
To help preserve the finish:
- play on a clean Mahjong mat or smooth table surface
- avoid rough or abrasive surfaces
- keep food and strongly colored liquids away from the playing area
- store tiles securely after each game
How to Store Your Mahjong Set
Before storing your set:
- Make sure all tiles and accessories are clean and completely dry.
- Return tiles to their designated storage compartments.
- Keep racks and accessories secured to prevent scratching during storage.
- Store the set in a cool, dry location.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the case.
For long-term storage, we recommend keeping your set inside its original protective case or packaging.

A missing tile shouldn’t mean replacing an entire Mahjong set.
